Welcome to the new and improved UNLEASHED!
There’s been some changes over the past week and perhaps the biggest one of them all is that there’s a new sponsor in town. That’s right, UNLEASHED is now proudly paying the bills with PERMUTED PRESS on board!
This week I talk about a new collaboration between myself and Jennifer Hudock know only as Twists of Fate.
I also delve into the world of writing horror, giving my brief two-cents on the subject. For a more detailed look at writing horror, check out this great resource from The Horror Writers Association, On Writing Horror.
This week’s interview features Eric S. Brown, one of the greats in the world of zombie fiction. He’s as prolific as they come with more than 10 novels and novellas under his belt as well as over 300 published short stories. WOW! We talk about his writing, his thoughts on the zombie genre as well as publishing. Check out his latest release, Season of Rot, a collection of 5 novellas.

About the Author: James Melzer tells lies for a living, what more do you want?

Awesome, Melz, thanks for doing the interview with Eric!
NOOOO. It’s over! I wanted to hear more!
haha.
Great interview, James! And go Eric! W0000t!
The book he mentioned near the end of the interview put together by that editor who only picked big named writers… Yeah… I have been complaining about that anthology since it came out. Jam packed with some of the biggest named authors in the business, only a handful of the stories are even memorable when compared to say the stories in the History is Dead anthology edited by Kim Paffenroth. I was glad to hear someone else (especially someone who primarily writes zombie fiction,) say that about that book, which has been raved up and awarded and blah blah blah, because it really isn’t that great as far as zombie anthologies go. Excellent interview.
