On Monday, June 1, 2009, something truly momentous is going down and I want all you Die Hards out there to know about it.
Friend and fellow podcast novelist/author, Mur Lafferty, is debuting the 5th and final saga in her Heaven series. Called ‘WAR,’ it’s been three years in the making and now, the end is upon us.
If you’re not familiar with the Heaven series, here’s the rundown:
Heaven is a contemporary fantasy audio series (also called Bangsian fantasy) about two friends who wander the afterlife together after their untimely deaths. Kate and Daniel find the Christian Heaven a bit too perfect for their liking and receive metaphysical passports to travel to the afterlives of different mythologies, different religions – even different species. As their travels continue, they discover there may a grander plan to their travels than they previously suspected.
Mur’s distinctive voice, her ability to create engaging characters and her attention to detail, all combine to form some of the best fiction I’ve ever heard. Heaven truly is one of the best audio series I’ve ever listened to and I’m saying that as a fan, not as a friend.

I know that many of you reading this might be going, “Pfft. Whatever. There’s no zombies, why would I want to listen to this?” It’s simple; because I said so. I would not steer any of you wrong. Trust me when I say that after just two episodes, you will be hooked! C’mon, would I lie to you?
