Cinco de Harwood is here, baby!

I write about horrific things. I know about zombies and blood and guts. My boy Seth Harwood though, he knows about crime, and his novel Jack Wakes Up is one of the best damn crime novels to hit the shelves in a long time.

That’s right folks. Cinco de Harwood has arrived!

Today marks the release of Seth Harwood’s novel from Three Rivers Press, a division of Random House NYC. Like myself, and many others you read about here, Seth began his novel as a work of podcast fiction back in 2006. In 2008 the book was published by Breakneck Books and his fans just ate it up! It reached #1 in Crime/Mystery on Amazon the day of its release and #45 overall in books. That was all it took to catch the attention of Random House and low and behold, here we are today baby!

So what’s it all about? I’m glad you asked:

“In the three years since Jack Palms went clean: no drugs, no drinking,no life, he’s added fourteen pounds of muscle, read 83 books, andplayed it as straight as anyone can ask him. Now, when an old friend from L.A. calls, he hits the streets of San Francisco to help a group of Czech drug buyers make one big score, a single drug deal that hehopes will set him up for life.

But when people start turning up dead, and an old nemesis on the policeforce calls, Jack finds himself with just 24 hours to track down San Francisco’s biggest drug supplier or face charges that will put himbehind bars.

Only an Oscar-caliber performance will get him through this alive.”
